A brief note of clarification re: last post and Kungfu's comment re: food trumping sex. In the case of hot wings (and chile relleno burritos), it is the lingering chili/pepper oil that is sometimes forgotten in the heat of passion, only to remind the receiving victim of its presence with a slow and steady burn. If you wouldn't touch your eyes after handling certain foods, hands (and mouths) off pink bits, too.
and now for something completely different:
I had dye release with my henna. It only took 49 freakin' hours. But I glopped it on my head, read about Russian Jews, and several hours later have meadowy-smelling auburn hair. Hennaing my hair combines three of my favourite things: cooking, making a mess, and changing, even if subtle, my hair. I dig the no chemicals and they make my white streak bright red. Maybe when I'm completely white/grey I'll fulfill my dreams of becoming a redhead.
I also got to spend a lovely hour knitting with the Santa Cruz Fiber Artists, and tried out a new Eggplant recipe that Luke, who hates Eggplant, really liked.
I'll post pics when I con Luke into taking some. Although I don't think anyone beyond my fellow Santa Cruzians read this, so you can just see me in real life.
