L visited and returned home again, and I'm back at the BL. It was wonderful to have him out to visit. We managed to walk over most of central London, and made the most of our time together. Lots of long walks, photos of the changing leaves, and almost every historical site we could fit in. Well, pre-19th century historical sites. We were both beset by 48 hour stomach flus (not the same 48 hours unfortunately), but that was the only blip in an otherwise fantastic vacation. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days.
Now I'm frantically trying to put my 2 syllabi together for summer session (they only have us an 8 day lead time!), and get to the library. After 8 hours of syllabus work I only mustered about 1.5 hours at the BL - but it was successful b/c I found some evidence I've been hoping to find and I finished another Ballad Collection. One more really big one and then just a bunch of little ones to mop up.
So that's the big update. I'll post more after Thurs - Bonfire Night aka Guy Fawkes Night.
