Notice something different? It's not the hair, nor the collared shirt. But that I'm settling in for the summer somewhere other than the Bunker, and I can see the outside! My ex-adviser is being extremely generous and letting my use his office for the summer while he's out of town. I feel 1/2 official and 1/2 like I'm squatting (probably not helped by the frowns passed my way form the local Academic Services admin....). I'll still have to be in the Bunker for printing purposes, but I can do the bulk of my reading, data entry and writing from here. I'm still in shock that I've sat in one space for several hours and my fingers aren't numb and I can actually see what time of day it is. If you're around this summer, stop in and see me sometime.
