Sum- Sum- Summertime

It's officially the middle of summer and I'm officially playing hooky. My Brother in Law and his wife, The Quiltin'Fool are out visiting for the week. They're a lot of fun and it's been a pleasure to have them. We generally only see them once a year or every other year, and this is the first time we've seen them w/o parents around. I am relishing it. If I'm a fiber artist, Lily is a fabric artist. As I've mentioned before, she owns a quilt shop in MT and produces quilts that blend color the way a master painter does. She's also getting into the fiber world (crochet and now knitting), and I'm in fiber/cloth junkie heaven. We hit up the LYS, LFS, and have ben busting our hooks and needles for the last few days. Last night I finished the core body piece of a new sweater (it looks small but there's going to be a button band), Kunck's for L, and made progress on my Alpaca Scarf for L. And I have proof!

It's a herringbone scarf, hopefully to be finished before heading to London. Something to cuddle my sweetie's neck while I'm gone.

I have to weave in the ends, and one turned out bigger than the other, but not bad for my first fingerless gloves.

Malabrigo, mmmmm....
Have I even mentioned how much I love my Macbook camera? Because the point and shoot, uploading photos is just way too much work...

Today we're off to see otters.
