Dude, you shouldn't feel stupid. Whoever wrote that just doesn't know how to write clear English prose.

ReplyDeleteand to Kungfu, yeah, she's German and this is the translation. I mean, lit analysis can be turgid as it is, but I bet that in the original German the whole sentence is like 3 words long.
