There she goes.... I wish I could say this is the frogging of my first sweater, but this is technically the second full garment I made that was a mess. (the first was Asana - the sweater in which I learned there is NO standard sizing in knitting and that I hate to knit with cotton). Rogue was so beautiful on my friend Corrie, and all the blogs and boards said it was an easy to knit great first sweater, and in may ways it was. I learned how to cable, graft, seam, and sew in a zipper. I also learned that 4" of ease is too much for me, I need bust darts, thick hems at your hip are evil (EVIL!), and kangaroo pockets that begin under your boobs make your boobs look wonky and you look pregnant. I also learned (am still learning), that despite when the measurements, and my gauge swatch, and everything tells me to make a medium - I should make a small and add bust darts. I finished this sweater last summer and it's been sitting under my bed since August. In the spirit of our upcoming move and new beginnings I decided to give this sweater a new beginning. I'm ripping it out and recreating from the raw materials. Rather than calling it a frogged project, I'm embracing it as a reincarnation.
