Sunburn

We had a big storm come through NoCal last week and L and I went skiing up at Kirkwood. The mountain is really big with a lot of off trail real estate. The blues were reasonable and I could do many of the blacks. Due to conditions I even learned (not by my choice) to ski around bumps (and by around I mean through most of them and around some of them). I had my first couple of experiences in deep powder (frustrating), and felt myself improve over all.

The first day was sunny and warm, not a cloud in the sky. I remembered to put sunblock on my face before heading out, but at the end of the day realized I missed a spot: under my nose. The sun reflected off the snow and I now have a sunburn on the bottom of my nose.

Sunburn, a few bruises and all, it was a wonderful trip and I hope we can sneak back up to the snow for one more run before the end of the season.

Next time: experiments with wattleseed
