Finally, some FOs!

Here are long awaited finished objects! A friend noted that I tend to blog much more about my knitting failures than my successes. It's absolutely true I hope to remedy it. I can't seem to drop the permanent "come-hither" look crossed with the I've-done-too-much-stage-work pose. So ignore the posture and the expression and focus on the sweet, sweet stitches.

Tempting I with neck cabling:

I used a cabling modification from a Ravelry member and love it. The yarn is all sorts of yummy: alpaca, merino, and cashmere. This is the first successful sweater I made that I 1) didn't have to re-do at all, and 2) fit the minute I tried it on. The patters is from knitty.com and I highly recommend it as a first sweater project.

Cherie Amour:

Another Knitty.com pattern. This is the sweater that was accidentally knit from 2 different color yarns. I'm happy with the final result although I'd lengthen the waist section if knitting this again. It tends to do what bulky yarns do: add bulk, but I love it anyway,

Paris Loop II:

This is my second Paris Loop. I love the pattern (incredibly easy, but impressive b/c of the yarn), and made this one with a more open neck so that it fits off the shoulders.

Up and coming:
Pink in green!
