A not so lovely bedtime story

I have a freezer full of milk.
L defrosted a bag to feed to Bucket while I was teaching.
Bucket refused the bottle and screamed and screamed and screamed.

After a long battle, some ounces managed to get into the little guy and off to bed he went.

I came home, heard the story.

Tasted the milk.

It tastes like soap with a metallic after taste.

This means it has too much of an enzyme.

It's fine, but Bucket will not eat it.

My entire freezer stash is affected.

I have upwards of 60 bags of milk. Each bag represents 20 minutes tethered to the pump. And baby won't eat it (it tastes seriously nasty).

This now means I have to scald all my pumped milk and the hundreds of ounces I lovingly pumped for my baby will go to someone else.

The happy ending is that I can donate to a milk bank for kids in NICU (no taste through a feeding tube).
