werk it out

Since Bucket was born I've been able to maintain a regular, if more moderate workout schedule. Lots of walking that is just now becoming running. By far, the biggest obstacle is that he just isn't a big fan of the stroller and he's still on the little side for running with it. In addition to the moderate cardio I've been trying to add back in strength work. By "trying" I mean I think about it, do 15 on my knees push ups and call it a day.

Until recently, the biggest hinderance to things like videos is that I couldn't count on his naps. sometimes they'd be 10 min, sometimes 45. Because he couldn't entertain himself I couldn't just put him down and ignore him. But in the last few weeks he's developed a 45 min nap pattern, so i dont have any more excuses for not doing circuit/strength work at home.

I use, and love, the Nike Training Center ap. I used it a lot pre-pregnancy and have now used it twice (progress!). Today, Bucket woke up early and wouldn't go back down so i just decided to use him instead of my medicine ball:

He loved that I did planks and mountain climbers over him, and he got into the action by kicking along to my flutter kicks. I put him on my torso for tummy time while i do abs, gluts and bridges.

Hopefully he'll be my motivation to keep at it.
