This fall, JC Penny was selling a shirt that read "I'm too pretty to do homework, so my brother has to do it for me." My good friend from college, bridesmaid in my wedding, and titled by CBS "Woman's Rights Activist", Lauren Tood saw the shirt via FB and decided to do something about it. She went to change.org and started a petition to get JC Penny to remove this clearly sexist shirt that was promoting an extremely negative message to young men and women. After a promotion blitz via social media like FB and twitter, it went viral. And it worked! They're pulling the shirt!
