| The culprit! |
Oona's out of surgery and into recovery. The cause of all the problem was that she swallowed the Big Bite Valve from one of our camelbak hydration packs. She loves to chew silicone - she's gone after my kitchen scraper/spatula, silicone oven mits, a silicone ipod case, a similar bite valve to a water bottle, a silicone trivet... We should have seen it coming, but we didn't even know it was something she has access to. What sucks is that is seems everything is made out of silicone or rubbery plastic these days. Oh well, you do what you gotta do.
Time to go back to training the humans who care for this kitty. By the time she's done with us we're going to have to put everything away so regularly that our house will be spotless. I guess that's not a bad thing.
She has to stay at the hospital until Monday but we can visit her tomorrow. Once she's home I promise silly cone head pics. It's a big relief that they were able to identify the problem so quickly and easily. I'll be glad to get her home.
