Hall-e-freakin'-lluia

After a he'll of a week of forgetting thing (first keys @BL, then convertor at home, then today my whole laptop at home), and facing research frustration that literally has had me spouting tears of frustration, something finally went my way. No it's not research breakthrough but it might lead to one: I found the readers common room! With tables, a terrace, people, and most importantly: COFFEE & espersso for only 45-45p! I've been paying 1.80 at the cafe. This is th bright spot in a really frustrating and discouraging week. I'm beginning to realize how much of mu trip anxiety has been about thesis anxiety. My project is facing some real problems and I just have to keep pushing on thru (per my advisor who fortunately has way more confidence in me than I have in myself - oh grad school, what have you done to me...). I'm going to keep on keeping on. I'll have to go to oxford at some point. And hopefully tomorrow I won't be sat next to the guy who smells like a toilet.

Blogging from my iPod,

  1. You are amazing! Of course you are dealing with thesis stress. Plus, you just up and moved to a totally new place, leaving hubby and kitty behind, and (if you're like me) you're probably feeling their absence in unexpected ways. What you are doing is totally exciting and wonderful, but it's also difficult. Take care of yourself. Know you have my good wishes and my understanding.

  3. Ha ha! I totally know how you're feeling after a frustrating week. Sadly, I could only find a few things to keep me going for the last 6 months in Taiwan, especially when the weather sucked so bad. Enjoy:
