One more decade down! I finished entering ballad info and analyzing relevant material for the 1670s today. What i've learned so far: cuckolds are funny, about 25% of illustrated ballads show bare breasts of some sort, and a whole lot of other stuff I'm not going to bore you with.
Last night L and I got a big group of assorted nerds, grad students, and GGG participants to have a sort of Magic the Gathering boot camp. We were able to do this at a friend's large house with their large kitchen. L introduced the mechanics of the game while I got to rolling and pre-baking personal pizza doughs. Much beer ad wine was drunk, pizza was crested and eaten, and fun was had. I have never had to much fun playing Magic than with a group of other fun rowdy people my own age. And I'm not hung over, so double bonus.
Tonight we are going to watch what may be the last night of the last season of Shakespeare under the redwoods. Tonight's show is Midsummer Night's Dream and we have gen admission tix to sit on the ground with our bread cheese and wine. I love me some live theater and it'll be a nice way to spend our first warm day in a while.
Now to type up book notes. The fun never stops does it ?
