- The Huntington has the most beautiful gardens in the planet. If you are ever in LA, you must come here. (Art will be addressed tomorrow).
-Archives where you use visual material and can't make digital photos of stuff are a real pain. My writs are getting a work out from all of the transcription as I try to save duplication $$ for the really important stuff.
-Laptops rule
-Typing on laptops sucks
-If you're short, bring platform wedges. These desks are made for giants and the wedges and platforms allow you to sit comfortably.
-Trader Joe's continues to be a gift from above. I highly recommend the par baked rolls with Mozzarella, basil, tomato, and the Italian Turkey breast lunch meat. Mmmm, saving $$ for duplication services is actually tasty.
-I actually have very fond memories of Pasadena and LA. I really would not mind, and would even look forward to moving back here. Pasadena is really beautiful. (granted, the Rose Bowl doesn't compare to West Cliff, but you can't have it all at a somewhat affordable price).
-If I could do all of my diss research here I would be a very happy camper. The Huntington is absolutely beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to take care of you.
that's all, saving wrists....
