Twitch, twitch
I'm ready to kill someone, and I think it's myself. I'm all led astray w/o experienced knitters to guide me. I was debating on the sizing of the sweater I'm working on. In particular I was trying to decide between smaller size and possibly tight on the boobs versus medium size and looser all over. For the first time in my life I decided against the boob-hugging option (I've learned my lesson never to do that again) and took the suggestion from an online chat board re: rogue to make the medium size and take in the waist. Well, I did it. My gauge was fine everything was moving along smoothly and I finished everything but the hood. Excited, I decided to sew the shoulders together and try it on... it came down past my butt. The arm holes gaped too low, the bust was huge and the "waist" was on my hips. I've had to rip down to row 49 and start over. We're talking about 3 months worth of work. It's so frustrating, I feel like just sticking to scarves, hats and gloves from now on. Argh! I'll post a picture when I'm feeling a little better on the whole thing.
