Notes from the Garden State

Things I love about the Jersey Shore:
-beach
-warm water (as in 74 degrees warm and no jellyfish so far)
-people watching at the beach (gold chains + baby oil + chest hair + beer belly = awesome)
-not having to do dishes (b/c my MIL actually loves to do them)

And finally, things Tweak will be jealous of:
-seeing the local rep version of 1776
Vocally, they were excellent. Acting wise, they needed a bit of work, but will probably be there for the second week of the fun. Hancock was set on level 10 for the whole show, Addams reminded me too much of Robin Williams, and McKean's Scottish brogue was from long lost Loch Brooklyn. But the harmonies were outstanding and overall the cast did and excellent job.

  1. Hmmm...did you get some serious parental walk-in interrupt there? Cuz that's sure what it sounds like....

    If so: LAME.

  2. Too bad about the interruption...

but man...I AM jealous that you got to see in performed live.

Maybe this means I'll have to watch it again soon.

  3. Not too bad, fortunately the front and back yards are covered in little stones so we heard them approaching, but interruptus did occur :(
