I've often joked that if the whole history thing doesn't work out I'll switch to my back-up plan of taking over Martha Stewart's domestic empire. I knit, sew, embroider, have some training in flower arranging, a decent eye for decorating, and cook and bake like no body's business.* I discovered, per the Tenured Radical and to my infinite delight (yeah this is all it takes these days), that M. Stew was a history major. A European and art history major, to boot!
Maybe my plan for world domination via the worlds best chocolate chip cookies and finely decorated windows isn't so much of a pipe dream after all. Mwahahahahah!!
* I'd take a cooking show as a reasonable alternative- I'm not as annoying as Rachel Ray, less complicated than the Barefoot Contessa, and my cleavage could give Gloria de Laurentis a run for her money.
