Done

I'm done with my work for the quarter, and as a bonus I have my first annotated syllabus for my QEs about 99% done. I've never been done this early and with relatively such little stress. I still have 55 papers to grade by Monday and then a batch of finals coming on Tuesday - but as far as my work goes I'm finished.

Frankly, I'm sort of in shock that I've already finished my second year. Grad school does that bizarre thing to time where it simultaneously flies by and slogs along like refrigerated molasses.

Plan for this summer:
-being outside as much as possible and "read" on the beach

-forcing The Last Modernist to get a jump start on conference planning so I don't get screwed in April 08 (should we live so long...) and have to do it all last minute

-Reminding myself of the French I know still lurks in the back of my grey matter. (be forewarned, when I feel like I know what I'm doing I tend to bust out in French when I'm drunk. Hopefully it won't mix with the German and we'll avoid, "mais non! Je voudrais nicht bier sondern wein!"

-blogging (and knitting). You'll be seeing much more from me in the coming months.

For now, off to my last lecture of the quarter.
